About the Tournament

about

The Knights of Columbus Charity Softball Tournament began in 2001. The men of the Piermont Council sought out to establish a venue through which they could raise funds for deserving local organizations, and at the same time promote young women athletes as positive role models everywhere. Thus we invited 8 Fast Pitch Softball Teams to compose our first tournament. Over the years we have grown not only in the number of teams competing, but also in the level and quality of the competition. Teams now sign up as early as October to assure their spot in the Tournament.

With the growth and success of the Tournament we have been able to raise significant funds for those organizations who care for our disabled neighbors. Proceeds from the tournament go to Camp Venture. We have also contributed to the Rockland County friends of Autistic Children who for many years ran a free after school program for a large number of Autistic children.

We invite everyone to come out and watch the games. Attendance is free of charge. For more information e-mail us at Frank7767@aol.com
